In Astoria, there's an Italian bakery called Rose and Joe's, selling homemade pan pizza (grandma style) and other types of fresh pies - all of which are quite good.  

If any readers know of other Italian bakeries in NYC selling fresh homemade pizza (any style), please let me know - I'm on the hunt!
